Drone Flight over FAST

Drone view of the Black Rock Mesa Facility

A recent drone flyby of the Fluorescence Detector Array of Single-Pixel Telescopes (FAST) shows a great aerial view of the Telescope Array Project facilities on Black Rock Mesa, just west of Delta, Utah.  In addition to the FAST experiment, Black Rock Mesa houses several of the fluorescence detector telescopes that are used to detect the ultraviolet light from the extensive air showers that occur when cosmic rays collide with particles in the atmosphere.
